ein kurzes update- a short update

Also, ich habe es tatsächlich geschafft. Ich habe ganz offiziell meinen Bachelor of Arts- jippieh. Die 8 Monate in England haben sich also ausgezahlt.
Im Sommer arbeite ich erstmal viel um mir mein nächstes Studium zu finanzieren.
Ich werde ab September eine 1 jährige Gesangsausbildung in Hamburg anfangen. Diese workshop artig aufgebauten Session sind wiederum nur an 6 Wochenende im Jahr. Deswegen werde ich weiter in Berlin leben.

Well, I actually made it. I have now officially my bachelor of arts- yeah! So the 8 month in England where successful.
In the summer I work foremost to earn money for my next studies.
I am going to start a one year singing course in September in Hamburg. These Workshop like 3 day sessions will be only 6 weekends in the year. Therefore I will continue to live in Berlin.

Eine tolle Gelegenheit- a great occasion

Am Tag nach der Hochzeit bin ich mit Sam, den ich ebenfalls noch aus CFNI Zeiten kenne, seiner Frau und ihrer Mutter zum Strand gefahren. Wow- was für eine Sicht in die Ferne- da baumelt die Seele.

On the day after the wedding I went with Sam, whom I know from CFNI as well, his wife and her mother to the beach.
Wow- an amazing view- just this one day made me feel relaxed.

 

 

Ich dachte mir, wenn ich schonmal in Paris bin, mache ich noch ein bisschen Sigthseeing.
Hier kann man den berühmten Eifelturm und den Pariser Triumphbogen sehen.
I thought to myself if I am in Paris I am going to do some sightseeing.

Eine Hochzeit in Frankreich- A wedding in France

Am 3. Juli gaben sich ein guter Freund von mir von CFNI Zeiten Charles und Noemie Ihr Jawort in der Normandie in Frankreich. Eine traumhafte Kulisse seine Hochzeit zu feiern. Ich glaube ich hab noch nie so viel gutes Essen an einem Tag gegessen. Ich war sehr froh darüber bei dieser Gelegenheit meine Freundin Nathanja, die in Wien studiert, wiederzusehen.

On July the 3rd my good friend Charles, whom I know from CFNI times, and Noemie got married in Normandy in France. A beautiful setting to celebrate. I think I never ate so much good food at one day. I was glad to see him and also my friend Nathanja who studies in Vienna at the moment.

 

 

 

 

Die Hochzeit meiner Cousine- the wedding of my cousin

Am 12. Juni gaben sich meine Cousine Damaris und Matthias das kirchliche Jawort in Berlin.
Ich war so froh dabei sein zu können.
On June the 12th my cousin Damaris and Matthias got married.
I was so glad to be there.
 

 

Ein paar Tage vorher fand der Junggesellenabschied statt. Als Überraschung wurde Damaris an diesem Tag der wunderschön geschmückte Vorgarten gezeigt. In diesem Haus meiner Tante und meines Onkels fand der Sektempfang am Tag der Hochzeit statt. Abends gab es Stockbrot am Lagerfeuer- ach der Hilligergarten ist schon toll.

A few days earlier the bachelorette party took place. As a surprise Damaris go to see the beautiful decorated front garden. In this house which belongs to my aunt and uncle the reception took place of the day of the wedding. In the evening we ate bread on a stick at the fire place- oh yeah- the garden of the Hilliger family is amazing.

 

 

Zurück in Berlin- back in Berlin

Meine Willkommensfeier im Restaurant namens Stellwerk. Dort arbeite ich den Sommer über 4 Tage die Woche als Kellnerin.
My welcome party in a restaurant called Stellwerk. Meanwhile I work there as a waitress 4 days a week during the summer.

 

Der Samstag nachdem ich wieder in Berlin angekommen bin, sang, spielte und trug ich, im Planetarium, gemeinsam mit meinem Vater, Gedichte vor. Das Thema war "Stille unter dem Sternenhimmel". Es war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis.
The Saturday after I arrived in Berlin, I got to play, sing and recite poems at the planetarium with my father. The topic was "stillness under a sky of stars" It was a very special experience.

Plymouth: der letzte Tag- Plymouth: the very last day

Der Montag startete wie jeden Montag schon sehr früh zum morgendlichen gemeinsamen Gebet. Da das Wetter so super war verlegten wir dieses in Park- genial, den letzten Tag so zu starten.

Monday morning started as every monday quiet early because of the morning collective prayer time. Because of the weather we displaced it into the park- amazing to start the last day like that.

Der letzte Sonntag in Plymouth, bei dem ich noch in meiner Gemeinde Mutley Baptist church mitspielen durfte- ein berührendes Erlebnis, da ein Freund von mir an dem Tag getauft wurde. Nach dem Gottesdienst gab es noch Essen, chillen und Tischtennis.

The last Sunday I visited my church in Plymouth called Mutley Baptist. I got to play. It was a moving experience because a friend of mine got baptised. After the service we received food and hung out and played table tennis.
