Ereignisreiche Zeiten- eventful times

Also, mir geht es weiterhin super hier im guten alten Plymouth. Heute ist mir aufs neue wieder aufgefallen, dass die wahrscheinlich meißt verwendeten Worte hier "sorry" und "cheers" sind was soviel wie danke heißt. Ist schon ein sehr feines Land.
Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich mittlerweile ein paar Gesangsschüler habe und nicht mehr so sehr auf eine "reguläre" Arbeit angwiesen bin wie voroher und in dem was ich liebe arbeiten kann. Also danke für alle Gebete!:)
Das Semester neigt sich dem Ende und ich kann es kaum fassen, wie schnell die Zeit verging. Nächste Woche gehts nach Berlin- freu mich drauf die ganzen Beriner wiederzu sehen.
Ich wünsche Euch allen erstmal eine geniale Weihnachtszeit und Neujahrszeit!

Well, I am still very well here in good old Plymouth. I just realized again that probably the most used words are sorry and cheers (which means thankyou here). It is a fine country.
I am very glad that I have some vocal students and that I am not as dependent on having a regular job and can work in the field I love. So thank you for all the prayers!:)
The semester is going to an end and I cant believe how fast the time flew by.
Next week I am going to be in Belrin- and I am really excited to see all the people there.

Edgecumbe, Cornwall

Am Samstag ging es mit ein paar Freunden zu einem tollen Spaziergang nach Edgecumbe ans andere Ufer. Nach ca. 10 MIn. mit der Fähre kamen wir zu einer schönen Insel mit Herr der Ringe Landschaftqualitäten und dem typischen engl. Garten .

On Saturday I went with some friends to a great walk to Edgecumbe on the other edge. After a 10 Min. trip with the ferry we arrived at a beautiful island with lord of the ring landscape qualities and typical English gardens.

 
 
 
 

Gesellschaftliches Leben- Social life

Mittlerweile leite ich ein Musikteam in der Christian Union. Hab sie alle zu mir zum Essen eingeladen- der Klassiker Spagetthi :)

By now I am leading a worship team in the Christian Union. I had them all around for food- the classic spagetti: )

Und hier sind zwei internationale Weinachtsessen zu. es ist so cool so viele Leute von verschiedensten Ländern kennenzulernen und deren Essen. Ich sag Euch nigerianisches ist super scharf.

And here we have two international christmas dinners. Its great to get to know so many people country from diifferent countries+ so different food. I can tell in Nigeria they eat really spicy food.

 
 

Totness

Letztes Wochenende kam mich ein guter Freund, Tobi, aus London besuchen, der in Totness ein Solokonzert in einem gemütlichen Pub gegeben hat. Ein guter Anlass mit dieses süße Dörfchen mit ganz vielen kleinen Lädchen anzuschauen.

Last weekend- a good friend of mine, Tobi, came to visit me from London and gave a solo concert in a cozy pub in Totness.
It was a good occasion to take a look at this sweet town with a lot of nice little shops.

 

 

 

 

Plymouth Music Zone

An einem Freitag machten wir einen Ausflug mit unserer Musikpsychologieklasse zur Plymouth Music Zone.
Menschen mit verschiedensten Behinderungen finden dort einen Platz an dem sie durch Musik ihre Gefühle ausdrpücken können. Das funktioniert durch KLänge, die Lichter projizieren, KLopfinstrumente die verschiedenste Klänge hervorbringen und vielen mehr- sehr beeindruckende Arbeit.

On one Friday we made a class trip to the music plymouth Zone with our music psychology class.
People with certain disabilities find a place in this environment to express their feelings trough music. This works through sounds project lights, a tapping instrument that produces different sounds and other things- very impressionable work.

 

 

Kurztrip to Somerset- Short trip to Summerset

Ende November ging es ein Wochenende nach Bridgewater in Somerset.
Mit insges. rund 70 Leuten waren wir dort in einer Herberge untergebracht und hatten eine geniale Zeit mit Worship, workshops, Bibelstudien und vielen Spielen. Ich kam mir vor wie auf Klassenfahrt- viele Streiche...

In the end of November I went to Brigewater, Somerset.
Together with about 70 people we where in a youthhostel and had an amazing time with Worship, workshops, bible studies and lots of playing games. I felt like going to a class trip when I was much younger- many pranks...

 

 

 

 

Jungs dienen den Mädchen- boys serve the girls

An einem Freitag Abend erwartete uns eine Überraschung- alle Frauen der Christian Union sollten sich aufdressen und zur Sherwell Hall kommen. Dort erwarteten uns zurecht gemachte Jungs, die uns zu unseren Plätzen begleiteten und uns dort mit Essen und Getränken bedienten. Anschließend wurde auf dem Parkett getanzt. Ein gelungener Abend.

On one Friday evening we faced a surprised. All the ladies from the Christian Union should dress up and come to the Sherwell Hall (Hall on Campous) where the man where welcoming us, dressed nice as well and serving us with drinks and food. Later on we had a little dancing time. A successful evening.
 

 

 

Nächte in Plymouth- Night times in Plymouth

Hatte die Freude eine geniale Funkband zu hören. Bin froh über viele Musikerkontakte.
I had the joy to listen to an amzing funk band. I am glad about my contacts in the music area.
 
NAch dem Gottesdienst ging es in ein Restaurant, wo einige sich einen riesigen Frühstücksteller bestellten. Das Frühstück sieht so aus- Bohnen, Toast, Würstchen, Speck und Eier- naja wems schmeckt, ne :)

After the service we went to a restaurant where some got a big plate of breafast. Thats how it looks like- beans, toast, sausage, ham, and eggs- will if you like it...:)
 

Die Küste Plymouth- the coast of Plymouth

Ein weiterer Sonntag, an dem ich die Landschaft hier mit meiner Freundin Rodo aus Zypern genoss. Da haben wir mal einen guten Tag erwischt, sonst regnet es heir sehr viel.

Another Sunday, where I enjoyed the landscape with my friend Rodo from Cypress. There we had a lovely day- usually its raining quite a lot.

 

 

 

 

Basketball in Plymouth

Da meine Gasteltern große Basketballfans und sogar einen Spieler sponsorn, hatte ich die Ehre zu einem Spiel der Raiders (der Mannschaft von Plymouth) mitzukommen in der größten Halle in Plymouth- der Pavillon, wo regelmäßig auch viele Konzerte stattfinden. Am darauf folgenden Sonntag hatten wir dann zwei von den Spielern zu Gast und es stellte sich heraus, dass sie und ihre Frauen aus den USA kommen, war schön.

Because of my host parents who are bis basketball fans I got to go to a basketball game of the Raiders (team of Plymouth) in the biggest hall iN plymouth- the Pavillon, where a lot of concerts take place as well. My host parents sponsor one of the players so two the basketball players came to our palce with their wifes who all happen to be Americans, we had a good time.
